Know your pumpkins and gourds:
Carnival Squash: Creamy-white background with orange spots or pale green spots and vertical stripes. It is sometimes labeled as a type of acorn squash.
Rouge Vif d'Etampes or Cinderella pumpkin: This French heirloom has bright, red-orange skin and is shaped like Cinderella's coach.
Baby Boo: The ghostly-white, mini pumpkins are real cuties at two or three inches in diameter.
Jarrahdale: The eerie, slate-blue to gray-green skin is deeply ribbed while the flesh is orange. It lasts a long time in cool weather.
Jack Be Little: Perfect little orange, mini pumpkins that grow up to be only three-inches in diameter.
Goosebumps: Yikes! Orange and green bumps complement its bright, orange rind.
Lumina: This white pumpkin glows with ghostly splendor at dusk. Its bright, white skin is easy to decorate with paint, colorful markers or decals.
