Double blue or pink flowers progress through a series of colors-open a light green in early summer and mature to rich violet or red by season’s end, 8” mophead blooms. Bloom time: Early to midsummer until frost. Blooms on old and new wood. Partial shade, well-drained soil, prefers slightly acidic. Compact rounded habit.

Has the whitest edge and darkest center in shady locations. Best in partial shade (morning sun, afternoon shade) to deeply shaded areas. Best in well-drained soil with good organic matter, prefers slightly acidic soil. 1/3” diameter pearl sized fruit with a frosted outer coating.  As fruit ages, it changes to a pinkish red and then finally opens to reveal an orange seed. Seeds persist from the late fall into winter. Controlled release fertilizer (10-10-10) recommended in spring. Generally disease is not a problem, euonymus scale can be a problem.
