Huge flowers that bring a smile to your garden.
Hardy Hibiscus is a perennial that thrives in full sun or with a bit of part sun. It needs both moist and well drained soil. This plant needs consistent watering. It’s important to not over water or underwater. If you are growing hibiscus in a container, plant your hibiscus in a pot with adequate drainage holes. If the Hibiscus is in water to long, its root will begin to rot.
The Hardy Hibiscus can overwinter in our area as opposed to the tropical Hibiscus. Tuck it into the garden for winter by applying a generous layer of mulch around the plant after the first frost in October.
